This is a rare large Larimar Cabochon wire wrapped with Sterling silver wire. It hangs from a 20" Sterling silver rope chain. The deep blue in this stone reminds me of the Caribbean. Larimar is a rare form of pectolite, which was discovered in the 1970's and is only found in the Dominican Republic. It has an extraordinary blue appearance similar to the color of the ocean in tropical areas.
This piece will definitely be a keepsake in your collection. When the mine is played out, the price of this wonderful stone will skyrocket! It has already become harder and harder to find and more expensive to buy.
I've wrapped this unique shaped stone in Sterling silver wire in a minimalist style keeping the beautiful stone as the focal point.
The total length of this piece is about 2-1/4" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the piece and it measures about 7/8" across at the widest point.
